At this time, we cannot confirm whether Isagenix products contain keto friendly ingredients, which is essential for ensuring that you remain in ketosis. Never fear though, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite keto friendly, tried and tested alternatives for you.

What Is Isagenix?

Isagenix is a multilevel marketing company that offers a variety of products that promote health and wellness.

Their product line includes shakes, protein powders, nutrition bars, and supplements.

Their products are meant to help support a healthy body and appearance, as they claim their products can work alongside you with your fitness goals, as well as help improve the look and feel of your hair and skin

As a quick summary, if you need it, the keto (also known as the ketogenic diet) is a low-carb, high-fat diet.

The whole concept of the keto diet is that your body transitions from burning glucose, in simple terms, sugars or carbohydrates, to burning fat as its primary fuel source.

For a keto diet, people will restrict their macros to eating;

  • 70% of their calories from fat
  • 25% from protein
  • 5% from carbohydrates

Sticking to these macros for a period of time will put your body into a state of ketosis. Ketosis is when your body has transitioned from burning carbohydrates as its primary fuel source to burning fat for fuel. It is at this point that you will start to see and feel the benefits of the keto diet.

There are a lot of new terms and abbreviations that you may come across, sometimes it can feel like a new language that you need to learn. In order to help you out and keep you on the right track, we have created a keto terms and keto abbreviations guide, bookmark these to make your keto journey easier.

Some people can be put off the keto diet because of the side effects, however, these are only short-lived and the health benefits of keto far outweigh the side effects.

One of the main benefits which attract people to the keto diet is that it can cause significant reductions in insulin levels (by up to 75%) and blood sugar levels, which can be attractive to those that struggle with diabetes, amongst other health complaints.

What Is The Nutritional Value Of Isagenix?

The nutritional value for an Isagenix IsaLean Pro Natural Chocolate Shake powder, one of the most popular products from Isagenix, is as follows:

  • Carbs: 21 grams
  • Fat: 6 grams
  • Fiber: 6 grams
  • Protein: 36 grams
  • Cholesterol: 80 milligrams
  • Sugar: 9 grams
  • Calories: 280 calories

One serving is considered two scoops of Isagenix powder, but you could probably make do with one scoop per shake to cut the carbs.

How Many Net Carbs Are There In Isagenix?

Looking at the example above for the Isagenix Natural Chocolate protein powder, there is a total of 15 net carbs in one serving.

Their IsaPRO Whey Vanilla Protein Powder has much fewer net carbs at 2 grams per serving, making it a much more keto-friendly option.

Isagenix doesn’t offer nutritional facts for all of the products on their website, so you would have to speak with a consultant before making your purchase as they may contain non-keto friendly ingredients.

Is Isagenix Keto?

It appears that there are some options for Isagenix products to work with a keto diet. It can be difficult to know for sure when they do not offer specific nutritional information for all of their products.

Their brand is not inherently designed to support a keto friendly diet, and is more targeted towards weight loss.

Based on this fact, I would be very cautious of incorporating Isagenix products into a keto diet.

What Are The Best Alternatives To Isagenix?

Whey protein isolate protein powders are your best bet when you are looking for protein powders that are keto friendly.

They tend to have the least amount of carbs. Isagenix does offer some whey protein powders with low carbs, but they come at a very high price point.

There are more affordable products that are just as good that will last longer.

Collagen protein may be harder to find, but many products made with collagen protein have no carbs, or very few carbs.

There are also many protein bars and nutrition bars on the market that are designed specifically to align with the keto diet, so you can still get great flavor and a boost in essential vitamins and nutrients without overindulging on your net carbs for the day.

You will find our favorite keto whey protein below, which is the perfect alternative to the Isagenix offerings.

Summary: Is Isagenix Keto Friendly?

Unfortunately, due to the lack of labeling, the ingredients in Isagenix products are a bit unclear, making it a miss for the keto diet for us. Some of their products are higher in carbs than others. As always though, we have done the research in order to find you the best, keto friendly alternative for you, so you don’t have to miss out on anything.
