Is Budweiser Zero Keto? [Everything You Need to Know]

Unfortunately, as much as we all love a Budwiser Zero, they are not really keto-friendly due to the number of carbs in them. Read on to find out more and some of our favorite, keto-friendly zero alcohol beer alternatives.    

We’ve established that we shouldn’t really be drinking Budwiser Zero on a keto diet, but let’s get into the why, and more importantly, what alcohol-free beers are keto-friendly in lieu of your favorite drink.

What is the Nutritional Value of Budwiser Zero?

The average nutritional values of Budwiser Zero per 100 ml are; 

  • Carbs: 3 grams.
  • Protein: 0.4 grams.
  • Fat:  0 grams.
  • Fiber: 0 grams.
  • Sugar: 0 grams.
  • Calories: 50 cal

Budweiser Zero does not contain non-keto ingredients like sugars and artificial sweeteners.

However, it is important to check the macros and ingredients of all foods on keto otherwise you may hit a keto stall (a plateau in your weight loss) or worse, knock your body out of ketosis.

How many Net Carbs are there in 100 ml of Budwiser Zero?

Net carbs are calculated by deducting the amount of fiber from the total number of carbs.

There are 3 grams of net carbs in Budweiser Zero; (3 grams of carbs – 0 grams of fiber = 3 grams of net carbs).

A can of Bud is 330 ml, making it 10 grams of net carbs per can – WOW!

In order to keep your daily carb intake under 20 grams, you need to be conscious of what you are eating and stick to low-carb content foods. Low-carb foods can also be defines as being low on the glycaemic index.

Foods that are low on the glycaemic index do not spike your blood sugar levels and knock you out of ketosis.

Final Thoughts

Budweiser Zero is high in carbs and low in fat, which is the opposite of the low-carb, high-fat macros required on a keto diet. However, if you are living a low-carb lifestyle, the odd Bud Zero should be ok. There are alternatives out there for you though!
